It's a beautiful Sunday morning and I was just about to start my preparations for church when I realized that today is the first Sunday of our time change. Church is now at 1:00, so I'm updating the blog with the extra 2 hours.
Arian is loving school (anything to get her away from "boring ol' Mom and Dad"). She even wishes she could go to school tomorrow on Labor Day. She has a wonderful teacher and does an outstanding job on her school work (naturally--she does have my genes :).

When did she get so BIG?
Mike just started school and is already swamped with homework. But it's his last semester, so only 15 more weeks of homework for him. Of course the real exciting news is that football is finally back in his life again. It's like watching a bear come out of hibernation.
As for me, I've been enjoying how much easier life gets as a second-year teacher as opposed to a first-year teacher. There really is a big difference in stress and workload. My students are all great (so far :) and I really do thoroughly enjoy my job. Really, how many people get to dictate what they are going to do for their job each day? I am so blessed to do what I do.

Was the "bear coming out of hibernation" thing a pun? Because I think it was. Good one!
That's interesting that your time change is in the middle of the year. Is it based on college semesters?
And I agree on the 2nd year being [easier] than the 1st year.
How many jobs are there where you get to boss around 200 people? We are like CEOS!
I agree with you about teaching. This year is easier than last, and it really is the best job.
In response to your comment on my blog, I am indeed at OCJH. I am loving it there. It's a great school, and Lisa is super nice. :)
Glad to hear you are doing well!
Wow Arian really has grown up so quick! I love the pix. And once again, I am soooo glad I work with you, you are an awesome teacher!
